CMS161 - Adult Major Depressive Disorder (MDD): Suicide Risk Assessment

Measure Description: Percentage of patients aged 18 years and older with a diagnosis of major depressive disorder (MDD) with a suicide risk assessment completed during the visit in which a new diagnosis or recurrent episode was identified

Denominator: All patients aged 18 years and older with a diagnosis of major depressive disorder (MDD)

Numerator: Patients with a suicide risk assessment completed during the visit in which a new diagnosis or recurrent episode was identified

Measure Calculation in ChARM EHR: MANUAL

This measure is calculated based on the actions recorded under 'Encounter > MU' section.

To satisfy this measure, for patients with Age >= 17 years and diagnosed with “Major Depressive Disorder " (Example ICD 10 code : F32.0 , F32.1, F32.2 ), suicide risk assessment needs to be performed and the action should be recorded under 'Encounter > MU' section.
