What are the requisites for using ChARM EHR?
ChARM EHR is an online application. There is no hardware or software installation involved. All you need is a web browser to connect to the application and use.
ChARM uses 256-bit encryption and follows stringent software security measures as per HIPAA regulations to keep your data safe. Your data is backed up regularly and replicated across secure location for any emergency.

What is meaningful use, and how does it apply to Electronic Health Record (EHR) Incentive Programs?
In 2009, the US congress passed an act for economic stimulus package (ARRA), under which physicians and providers can qualify for incentives, if they demonstrate “Meaningful Use” of EHR. Under this program, providers can earn up to $39000 in Medicare and $63750 in Medicaid incentives respectively, over a period of six years. ChARM EHR is fully-certified for meaningful by Drummond Group, which means providers using ChARM EHR in their practice can apply for the incentive program.
Which drug database is being used by ChARM EHR?
LexiComp database is used for drug reference and interaction process. Drug-Drug, Drug-Allergy & Drug-Food interactions are captured under the interaction process.
How do I get started with connecting to labs?
We do support connecting to your labs through HL7 interface. Please send us a mail to email@example.com with the lab of your choice, so that we can help you.
How can I delete a patient record from my EHR?
Patient record once created, cannot be deleted. If needed, the practice can de-activate the patient. To de-activate the patient, change the status of the patient from “Active” to “Deactivate” in the patient dashboard.
I have patients’ past visit details in paper. Can I import them into ChARM?
You can scan or upload paper charts either under patient's 'Dashboard > Encounters' section or under patient's 'Dashboard > Documents' section.
How can I review the recent access and activities done in my EHR?
You can view all the practice activities through “Settings -> Audit Trails” section. Only practice admin can view the access and activities performed by all practice members.
How to merge patient records?
Merging patient record is not possible. Instead, Practice Admin or Office Manager can mark the duplicate patient record as 'Inactive' by navigating to patient's 'Dashboard'. Before deactivating the patient's duplicate record, ensure that the data available in this record (if any) is moved to the actual record.
