Configure Security Policy

Note: Only the members with the ‘Practice Admin’ and ‘Office Manager’ roles can carry out these operations.

Enable Two-Factor Authentication

To enable Two-Factor Authentication for your Practice, follow the steps given below

  1. Go to Settings > Security > Policies
  2. Enable the ‘Enforce your Practice members to use an additional security layer to access their Charm Account’ option, under the ‘Two-factor Authentication for Practice Members’ section.

  3. Click on ‘Save’ button.

Setting Password Policy

To set a Password Policy for your Practice members, follow the steps given below.

  1. Go to Settings > Security > Policies
  2. Enable the ‘Enforce strong password policy for your Practice members’ option, under the ‘Password Policy for Practice Members’ section.

  3. On enabling the above option, the following screen appears.

  4. You can configure the ‘Password Strength’ to either ‘Strong’, Good’, or ‘Fair’. The Password Expiry Period, Refusal of Previously Used Passwords, Minimum Special Characters count, Minimum Numeric Digits count, Minimum Length for Password, Mixed Password requirements can also be set accordingly. By choosing the ‘Custom’ option in ‘Password Strength’, you can set the custom values for all the above parameters.

Setting Auto Log-off time

To set the auto log-off time during inactivity of Charm, follow the steps given below.

  1. Go to Settings > Security > Policies
  2. Go to the ‘Auto Log-off’ section
  3. Set the ‘Duration of inactivity’ to the required time. By setting this, your users will be logged out of Charm during inactivity for the above set duration.
