Configure Security Policy

Note: These operations can be carried out by members with 'Practice Admin' and 'Office Manager' roles only

Enable Two Factor Authentication

To enable two factor authentication for your practice, follow the steps given below

  1. Go to 'Settings > Security > Policies'
  2. Go to the 'Two-factor Authentication for Practice Members' section
  3. Switch 'ON' the '"Enforce your practice members to use an additional security layer to access their ChARM Account"

  4. Click on 'Save'

Setting Password Policy

To set password policy to your practice members, follow the steps given below

  1. Go to 'Settings > Security > Policies'
  2. Go to the 'Password Policy for Practice Members' section
  3. Switch 'ON' the "Enforce strong password policy for your practice members"

  4. Once set to 'ON' the following screen opens up

  5. Here, you can configure the 'Password Strength' to either 'Strong', Good' or 'Fair'. Accordingly the password expiry period, refusal of previously used passwords, minimum special characters count, minimum numeric digits count, minimum length for password, mixed password requirement, etc. can be set. By choosing 'Custom' for 'Password Strength' you can set custom values for all the above parameters.

Setting Auto Log-off time

To set the auto log-off time to be set for duration of inactivity, follow the steps given below

  1. Go to 'Settings > Security > Policies'
  2. Go to the 'Auto Log-off' section
  3. Set the 'Duration of inactivity' to the required time. By setting this, your users will be logged out of ChARM when there is no activity done on ChARM for the above said duration.
