Member Self-Verification

Introduction

CharmHealth EHR streamlines member onboarding for telehealth and remote healthcare. Members can confirm their identity using their mobile number and a selfie verified by facial recognition. This assists administrators in simplifying the verification process.

Pricing - The Practice will be charged a nominal fee of $10 for every successful verification.

Enable Member Self-Verification for Specific Roles

The Practice Admin or Office Manager can enable the 'Member Self-Verification' feature for new members using the following steps.

  1. Go to the 'Settings > Security > Member Self-Verification' section.

  2. Click on the 'Enable' button.

  3. Then, enter the role name and choose from the drop-down list.
  4. Similarly, add all the roles you want to enable Member self-verification for.

  5. Click on the 'Initiate Verification' button.

Once done, new members belonging to the chosen roles get prompted to complete self-verification as part of their onboarding process.

Enable Self-Verification for Existing Members

After enabling the 'Member Self-Verification' for specific roles, the Practice Admin or Office Manager can enable for existing members if needed by following the steps below:

  1. Go to the 'Settings > Facility > Facility Members' section.

  2. The Practice Admin can view the Member Self-Verification Status column here. Click the 'Initiate' button to enable self-verification for an existing member.

Note - Clicking on the 'Drop-Down Arrow' against each Member displays the option to revoke the feature for the Practice Member.

Member Self-Verification Process

The self-verification process comprises mobile verification and photo proofing.

  • New members assigned to a role for which self-verification is enabled can verify themselves as part of their onboarding process after completing email verification.
  • Existing members for whom self-verification is initiated can verify themselves on their next login.

Members can start the Member Self-Verification process by following the steps below.

  1. Log in to your EHR Dashboard
  2. Your registered phone number in CharmHealth EHR will be retrieved automatically. If it's not available, enter your phone number.
  3. Click on the 'Send OTP' button.

  4. Enter the 'OTP' received on your mobile and click the 'Next' button.

  5. Ensure your webcam is enabled and click on the 'Capture Face Selfie' button in the pop-up box. For accurate liveliness detection, blink 1 or 2 times.

    Note - Please read the note displayed in the pop-up for a smoother verification process.
  6. Next, upload a government-issued photo ID in JPEG or PNG format, like a driver's license or passport. The feature compares the selfie, extracts the name, address, and date of birth from the provided ID Proof and compares it with the Practice-registered data. Therefore, ensure both are consistent before uploading.

  7. Click on the 'Submit' button to complete the process.

Note - If there is any mismatch, the member can Retake the photo or Re-Upload the government proof based on the error message displayed.

Check Member Self-Verification Status

The Practice Admin can check whether the required Practice Members have completed their self-verification process using the following steps:

  1. Go to the 'Settings > Facility > Facility Members' section.

  2. You can view the Member Self-Verification Status column here.
  3. For successful verifications, you can view the Member Name, Role, Phone Number, Selfie clicked, and Government ID uploaded.

Additionally, clicking on the 'Self-Verification Status' drop-down button displays status filters such as 'All', 'Verification Success', 'Verification Failed', or 'Not Required'.
